Maia Tsereteli

Maia Tsereteli is the Executive Vice President, McInerney Hospitality International LLC and President McInerney Hospitality International Georgia LLC.  She currently serves as an Executive Director of Key Hospitality Management Group, a Hotel Management company for Georgia that manages hotels in Tbilisi and the regions.

 

She is the Member of Tourism    Advisory Board at Georgian National Tourism administration (GNTA), and Member of Supervisory Board for Hotel & Restaurant Confederation of Georgia; She also serves as Supervisory Board Member for Small & Medium Enterprise Development Association of Georgia and is the Head of the Association for Private Employment Agencies.  

 

Since 2009 as an Executive Director of Key Management Solutions LLC, Maia Tsereteli created the leading HR, Training and Consulting Company specialized in Service and Hospitality Sector for the entire country of Georgia. KMS LLC facilitated powerful recruitment project not only for Georgia, but also in international hotel chains in Middle East in Dubai (UAE), Doha (Qatar) and Abu-Dhabi (UAE) and facilitated legal employment for over 400 Georgian citizens abroad. 

 

As the Hotel Manager, Operations Manager and Director of Human Resources, Maia Tsereteli served for 9 years with Marriott International in Georgia and Cluster Director of Human Resources for Armenia and Kazakhstan together with Georgia in 2004-2007 recruiting and training strong team of non-management and management workforce and training them to International standards of operations. 

 

During the years 1995-2001, Maia Tsereteli worked as Foreign Service National for the Embassy of the United States of America in Georgia dealing with Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of the Government representing US Department of Justice as Legal Assistant.  Earlier she had worked at the Consular Department of US Embassy assisting Consul in Non-immigrant and immigrant visa cases and performing wide portfolio of American Citizen Services for US citizens living overseas. 

 

In 1992-1995, she had worked in the Education field as the Deputy Dean of Greek-Georgian University and Program Coordinator for Freedom Support and Muskie Fellowship programs sponsored by US Government and administered ETS tests (TOEFL, GMAT, GRE) in Georgia.

 

In 2008 Maia Tsereteli had been recognized by the Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA) with Honorary certificate for her important contribution for the Development of Tourism in Georgia. Three meritorious honor awards were awarded to Maia Tsereteli during the years 1995-2001 by US Embassy in Tbilisi Georgia. Multiple awards for operational excellence were awarded by Marriott International during years 2001-2009.

 

She is the author of HR and Workforce Development Chapter for the National Tourism Strategy of Georgia for 2015-2025, sponsored by the World Bank and Georgian National Tourism administration; Author of Essential Services for Guest House Operations, prepared within the framework of Private Sector Development Program GIZ, Tbilisi August 2014; Co-Author of Employer Engagement Manual, prepared for VET System throughout Georgia, sponsored by British Council in Georgia, 2010; Author of the Practical Learning Material for Hotel Business prepared within the framework of Private Sector Development Program GIZ, Tbilisi September 2016; 

 

Maia Tsereteli is an honorary graduate of Tbilisi State University and holds Master’s degree.
